Tumbleweed Cafe in Broken Bow

Stop by this place every year for breakfast to and back from hunting. And in all these years its always been a good breakfast.

Was recommended by the Grand View hotel and we were not disappointed. The food was good. Prices were reasonable and the service was fantastic!!! The pancakes are huge. If your ever in Nebraska this is a good stop along the way!!!

Chicken Fried steak made with real homemade chicken batter. Say what? Good stuff!

Worst service I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered a goto from here and when I got home I realized it was wrong so I called in. Expected an apology and an offer to come back and get what I ordered, instead I get a rude server on the phone who said she’s to busy to deal with me and to call back in an hour when they have slowed down I then asked for the manager and when she got On the phone she was worse then the server. I’ve never been talk to like that by anyone let alone someone to is taking money for me to cook food for me. Then proceeded to tell me she was the Owner. I get it, Small town cafe but I will NEVER come back. And I got Togo’s from this location twice a week at least

Stopped here on our way to Victoria Springs. Food was great! Hot and delicious! The service was fast and friendly and it was a welcoming and clean atmosphere! Great little place. Glad we stopped!

Your basic small town restaurant. It has a great menu, good food (and plenty of it), and good folks working there.

Plenty of truck parking, even though all the locals park here, the service is ok but the food isn't impressive.

My family and I had the misfortune of choosing this restaurant and being seated with the Waitress Anne/April. The last review was correct, no facial expression, no refills, no contact whatsoever after the food was brought. No "how was the food" when checking out. Had to wait at the counter for someone to check me out. Bad food, the Chicken Fried steak was overdone, only could stomach half of it. The fries were grocery store frozen and fried. The BLT was much less than average. The chicken strips were also much less than average. JUST REALLY POOR FOOD AND EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE!!

I rarely leave reviews but after three (consecutive) bad experiences here I find it necessary.First DO NOT order fried chicken from here on Sunday past 2pm. It will be refried / reheated from their lunch buffet. It will be cold on the inside since they freeze what ever is leftover.Try not to sit in the section with the mean waitress (Anne). She doesn’t speak unless she is taking your order or ringing you up. She rarely has any friendly words to share or face expressions.Third, don’t come into the restaurant unless you like your food FRIED. Nearly every thing on the menu is deep fried. I enjoy home cooked family foods, don’t be fooled by the cutesy exterior and warm decor, this is not quality family food.Being they are located in Broken Bow, there’s few options for dining and they seem to know this. The bar is already set low. I am looking forward to the day a new family restaurant opens up within driving distance.

43 years of great breakfast and Sunday buffet...top drawer!
